PPSU Personnel Cleaned Remaining Mud After Kampung Melayu Flood

10 personnel of Infrastructures and Public Facilities Handling (PPSU) of Kampung Melayu, Jatinegara, East Jakarta, were deployed to clean the neighborhood from remaining flood waste material on Wednesday (6/7). This cleaning is done to help flood victims.

We focused on RW 04 and 05 because inundation in those areas are the slowest to recede and the deepest

After Ciliwung River overflowed, there was a lot of flood waste material and mud in RW 04 and 05,  Kampung Melayu.

Kampung Melayu Urban Village Head, Setiawan said, PPSU deployed in RT 10, 12, and 13 and RW 04, 05. Inundation in those locations are the slowest to recede and its depth reached one meter.

Floods in Cipulir Began to Recede

"We deployed PPSU to help citizen cleaning the mud and other flood waste material. We focused on RW 04 and 05 because inundation in those areas are the slowest to recede and the deepest," he explained.

In this cleaning, trash and mud has been cleaned using simple equipment, such as broom stick, dustpan, fork, hoe, and others. Remaining mud was cleaned using water and broom stick.
